Malak is just 18 months old. She was born during the war in Gaza. Her mother was killed in an airstrike soon after her birth, and her father, Ahmed, lost his entire family early on in the war.
Since then, Ahmed has raised Malak alone, doing everything he could to keep her safe and give her a sense of normal life — even in the middle of devastation.
Now, things have reached a breaking point.
Malak is currently in hospital with severe malnutrition. There is no food available in Gaza — not even bread or powdered milk. The only thing Ahmed can give her is follow-on baby formula, which is now incredibly hard to find and unaffordable due to the blockade and ongoing shortages.
- Each tin costs $75
- Each tin lasts just 3 days
- She needs at least 10 tins per month to survive
This formula isn’t specialized — it’s simply the only thing left she can safely digest at her age. Without it, there is nothing.
How You Can Help
We’re raising funds so Ahmed can continue to get the formula Malak needs to survive the coming weeks. Conditions are far from normal, and receipts or official documentation may not always be possible — but we will provide updates wherever we can.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps Ahmed keep his daughter alive for one more day.
- $25 feeds Malak for one day
- $75 buys a tin (3 days)
- $300 covers 12 days
- $750 supports her for a full month
